Tricker's x Denim Heads Cap Toe Boot

O tom, že Tricker's vyrábí jedny z nejlepších bot na světě ví asi každý, kdo značku Tricker's zná. Boty vyrábí již od roku 1829 v anglickém Northamptonu, což je již od 17.století centrum kožedělného a obuvnického průmyslu. Boty renomovaných značek se zde šijí dodnes. The fact that Tricker's produces ones of the best shoes in the whole world is probably well known to anyone who has ever heard about the brand. At Tricker's they manufacture shoes since 1829 in Northampton which has been a centre of the British shoe-making industry. And there are also many other top-quality British shoe-brands producing shoes in here. Je mnoho typů bot v různých kombinacích usní, které si každý může objednat podle katalogu. Jsou samozřejmě vyrobeny dle přísných kritérií a z nejlepších dostupných materiálů. Podle nás je ale mnohem zajímavější nechat si vyrobit botu dle svých představ. A to jsme se rozhodli udělat my. Patrně nenajdete na světě botu, která by byla stoprocentně identická s těmi, které nyní nabízíme my. Kvalita i vzhled bot Tricker's nás velmi baví a tak rozhodování o spolupráci bylo velmi snadné. Výsledkem je kotníková bota s prošitou přední částí. Vybrali jsme barvu Burgundy a použitým materiálem je velmi jemná, ale odolná telecí useň. Vnitřek boty je pak tmavě zelený, což tvoří zajímavý, decentní kontrast.

There are many types of shoes made in different colors and types of leather. They are certainly all made in best way possible and all the leather hides are the best quality. But, in our opinion, there is a bit more interesting way how to choose the shoes to sell: custom-made. We decided to let Tricker's make a custom version for our store only. It is probably not possible to find the shoe exactly the same like this one anywhere else. The high quality and level of craftmanship are both the things we do like so deciding if to make it or not was quite easy. The result of this collaboration is a laced-up derby boot made of Burgundy calf leather, which is quite smooth but also very durable leather hide. There is caped toe detail and the lining of the boot is made of dark green leather. It makes a nice but not an excessive contrast to the burgundy color.

Podrážku jsme vybrali Dainite, vyrobenou z velmi odolného materiálu, ketrý je použitelný nejen ve městě. Nepůsobí však tak robustně jako např. Commando, znamá to podrážka z oblasti vojenských bot. Celkové zpracování je stoprocentní a koupí takovéto boty budete mít nejen něco, co nikdo jiný nemá, ale taky budete mít pár bot, který při správné údržbě vydrží velmi velmi dlouho. Budeme velmi rádi, pokud nám dáte vědět co si o tomto speciálním bot myslíte, máme vždy rádi zpětnou vazbu od našich zákazníku. Samozřejmě nejen pokud se jedná o boty.

We chose the brown Dainite sole which is very solid and durable. You can wear your Tricker's not only in the city then. On the other hand, it does not look so massive like for example Commando sole, used often on army boots. The shoes are hand-made on very high quality standards so then you can have a pair of shoes which not only anyone else has, but also you get shoes that can last a life-time (when properly maintained). We would be more than happy for any comments on this style of shoes. We always love to have a feedback from our customers and, of course, not only on this particular pair of shoes. On all the products we show or sell. For us it is useful and you or any future customers can only profit from those feedbacks!

Nechali jsme vyrobit jen několik párů. Předpokládáme, že to není naše poslední spolupráce s touto slavnou britskou značkou, ale příští typ bot Tricker's x Denim Heads bude asi vypadat zase jinak. Už teď se však těšíme.

We have now on stock a couple of pairs in different sizes but we assume that is not the last collaboration with Tricker's. We are already now excited about what the future collaboration Tricker's x Denim Heads will look like.

Red Wing - Spring/Summer 2014

Podle meteorologů už nás, v nížinách, žádná zima nečeká. My už jsme připraveni. Nejen pro všechny, kteří neradi nosí vysoké boty celý rok, je tu nová kolekce Red Wing. Výchozím modelem je zde typ Postman (model 101), který, jak již název napovídá, byl používán hlavně pošťáky (ale také policisty), kteří nachodili denně několik těžkých kilometrů a proto pozřebovali boty lehké, pohodlné, které ale zároveň vydrží rozmary počasí, ale i test časem.

According to the weather forecasts, we should not expect winter cold here anymore. We are ready! Not only for those which do not prefer to wear boots all the year, there is a new Red Wing collection. Inspiring model is type 101 - Postman. It was a shoe which was used mostly by postmen (but also by policemen), which had to walk long distances every day. They really need shoes which were light, comfortable and which can withstand bad weather. And they should last too.

Vybrali jsme z nových typů tři provedení. Jeden z nich je Postman Olive Mohave. Vychazí z originalní boty Postman, představené již roku 1954. Nový Postman má stejné tvary a zachovává si stejné prvky jako malé dírky na tkaničky nebo konstrukci do rámu. Použitá podrážka je ale u této boty stejná jako u typu Chukka (Euro Traction Tred outersole). Bílá, lehká a pohodlná.

We selected three different shoes of the new collection. One of them is Postman Olive Mohave. Postman, a new style deeply rooted in our rich past. the Postman is inspired by Red Wing’s 101 style, known as the postman’s shoe. Designed to meet Postal Service requirements, the 101 was sturdy, sleek and simplistic and these characteristics served America’s mailmen well. For the first time since 1954, Red Wing is expanding on this style with more casual designs modeled after the 101. The new Postman shoes are built using the same leather upper as the 101 as well as many of the same features including a dog tail, blind eyelets and a Goodyear Welt. Premium Red Wing leather Olive Mohave, made at Red Wing Shoe’s very own S.B. Foot tannery, is used to craft the new Postman. The cushion crepe outsole gives these boots as much comfort as the 101, allowing for the longer walks of a postman’s route or just a casual stroll in the summer sun.

Jiná je i useň. Stejně jako všechny kůže, i tato je vyrobena v S.B.Foot Tannery, což je výrobce usní, který spadá po Red Wing. Olive Mohave je prémiová, voděodolná useň, původně navržená pro použití v bojových podmínkách. Tato úprava kůže zajišťuje texturu, charakter a hlavně vysokou oddolnost. Mimo jiné jsou Mohave kůže také odolné proti skrvnám!

Mohave is a premium, waterproof, reverse suede leather (referred as "roughout") originally designed to withstand the harshest field conditions. Its outer appearance provides texture, character and durability. Mohave provides excellent water repellency and superior resistance to stains!

Všechny polobotky od Red Wing byly konstruovány jako boty na práci a na volný čas. Ovšem ne všichni potřebovali vysoké, bezpečné boty. To se týkalo třeba šéfů v továrnách, tz. předáků (Foreman). Právě tito potřebovali obuv, se kterou se mohli v klidu pohybovat po tovární hale, ale zároveň trávit půl dne v kanceláři, kde těžkých bot opravdu není třeba. Máme nyní v nabídce typ Foreman ve dvou barevných provedeních.

Red Wing’s Oxford styles were promoted as shoes for work and play, and all along the blue collar backbone of America one contingency of workers who took a strong liking to the style were factory floor managers, also known as Foremen. While factory workers needed sturdy boots, the foreman needed a shoe to move back and forth between his office and the work floor. A Red Wing oxford could stand up to the concrete floor and not be too heavy for an entire day spent
behind a desk. We offer the Foreman in two different Roughout leather uppers, for a casual summer appearance. Roughout leather is one of Red Wing’s premium leather types and provides durability and resiliency in tougher environments that may damage other leathers.

Černá verze je vyrobena z Black Abilene usně, kerá je velmi odolná a zároveň se na ní vytvoří časem nádherná patina. Verze světlá, Hawthorne Abilene, je stejný typ usně, ovšem v jiné barvě. U obou typů je použita stejná pohodlná a měkká podrážka: Brown Neoprene Cushion.

Abilene is a reverse sude leather, referred as "roughout". While other tanneries employ a process of splitting and thinning hides to create the rough surface, Abilene uses unsplit, heavyweight leather with proprietary tanning process to give it a unique, rough texture. We have Black and Hawthorne versions.

Iron Ranger Amber Harness, 4 years

Boty Red Wing patří již poměrně dlouho k pilířům naší nabídky. A po právu. Boty jsou to kvalitní, dobře vypadají, když jsou nové a ještě lépe když se nějaký ten pátek nosí. Díky Vašemu zájmu boty samozřejmě doplňujeme a občas také přidáme nějaký nový model.

Red Wing shoes play very important role in our store. And the reason is obvious, the boots are high quality, well made and they look good. They look even better when worn for some time. Thanks to your interest we have to restock all the time and occasionally to we add something new. 

Iron Ranger Hawthorne Muleskinner

Iron Ranger patří k nejoblíbenějším stylům nejen u nás, ale i všude jinde po Evropě (možná i ve světě). K černé verzi a botám z Amber Harness usně jsme již před pár měsíci přidali Iron Range Hawthorne Muleskinner, ale boty se prodaly tak rychle, že jsme je ani nestihli vystavit v eshopu. Useň, ze které je bota ušita je "otočená" naruby, tzn. ta část, která obvykle tvoří vnějšek boty, tj. ta hladká, je u této verze uvnitř a naven otočená je ta, která je hrubá. Tím povrch těchto bot získává jedinečný charakter již po pár dnech nošení. Povrch není třeba nijak speciálně ošetřovat, pokud však budete mít tu potřebu, použijte Mink Oil.

Iron Ranger is one the most popular Red Wing styles not only in our store but everywhere else in Europe (probably in the world too). We always had the black version and Amber Harness. A couple of months ago we tried to offer also Iron Ranger Hawthorne Muleskinner version but those boots were gone so quickly that we were not to put them on the webstore. They are made of a roughout leather, which is basically inside out turned hide. Thanks to this fact the boots look very special after a couple of days of wearing. There is no need to take a special care of those boots but if you really want you can use Mink Oil.

Ice Cutter Otter Tail Black

Úplnou novinkou v nabídce nejen naší, ale i Red Wing Heritage obecně, je bota nazývaná Ice Cutter. Tato obuv je první vysloveně zimní botou Red Wing. Jedná se o botu, která byla určena těm, pro které práce venku nekončí prvním mrazem nebo sněhovou nadílkou. Jak lze snadnou usoudit znázvu, Ice Cutter, byla tato bota určena chlapíkům, kteří v severní části USA potřebovali oporu na sněhu a ledu a zároveň něco, co by jim udrželo teplo na nohy i ve velkých mrazech.

Vibram sole

The brand new style not only in our offer but from Red Wing in general is the Ice Cutter. This boot is a first real winter boot from Red Wing Heritage collection. It was meant to be a boot for those which have to work outside in a freezing weather on the american north. As you could suggest from the name, Ice Cutter, the guys wearing that boot had to work on ice and snow and obviously needed something to protect their feet from the low temperatures.

Teplo je zajištěno podšívkou ze 100% vlny v červené barvě, která kromě svých tepelně-izolačních vlastností i dobře vypadá. Obzvláště v kombinaci s černou botou. I useň je nová. Jedná se o Otter Tail Leather, která byla vytvořena exkluzivně pro outdoorové modely Red Wing.

Black leather and red wool felt lining

The pleasant warm is guaranteed because of the wool felt lining. It is not just a practical feature but it is actually quite nice because it is in red color which makes a nice contrast to a black boot. The hide (Otter  Tail Leather) is also new and it was produced exclusively for Red Wing's outdoor styles.

Optická robustnost boty je částečně dána použití dvojitého stehu (Norwegian welt), ale také použitím masivní podrážky Vibram. Tato podrážka s mohutným vzorkem takřka znemožní uklouznutí na téměř jakémkoliv povrchu. Pro nás jednoznačně zimní bota č.1.

The robust look of this boot is partially made by Norwegian welt bit also by using massive Vibram sole. The pattern of this sole will make you really safe on the harsh condition of freezing winters. In our opinion: the best boot for winter!

Red Wings - restocked, January 2013

Díky Vám (a trošku i díky nám) se stávají Red Wing botami, které jsou k vidění nejen ve všech evropských metropolích, ale i v Praze a okolí. Samozřejmě, že je k tomu spousta důvodů: kvalita, robustnost, odolnost a v neposlední řadě i nadčasový design těchto bot z parádní kůže.

With your (and partly also our) help now you can see Red Wing Shoes not only in Europe but also in Prague and Czech rep. in general. Obviously, there are plenty of reasons for that: a high quality, endurance, robustness and last but not least, timeless design of these shoes made of selected leather.

Po celkem úspěšném roce 2012 jsme tedy potřebovali nabídnout opět oblíbené boty ve všech velikostech. Máme nyní skladem jak asi nejoblíbenější typ Moc-Toe 6" Oro-Iginal, obě barevná provedení Iron Range (hnědá i černá) tak i Beckmany v barvě Black Cherry.

The year 2012 was quite a success for us so it was just a matter of time to restock all the sold sizes of popular styles: classic 6" Moc-Toe Oro-Iginal, Iron Range in both colors (brown, black) and also Beckman in Black Cherry color.

Díky překvapivému zájmu o bot typu Engineer (psali jsme třeba zde), máme teď skladem i tyto, konkrétně v černé barvě vyrobené z prvotřídní usně Black Harness. Podrážka je z materiálu Nitrile Cork, což jak můžeme sami potvrdit je velmi, velmi odolný materiál. Stejné podrážky jsou použity i u Iron Range, popř. Brogue Range.

Thanks to a bit surprising (but pleasant) interest of our customers for Engineer boots (more about them here), we restocked also these. Now we have them in Black Harness leather with Nitrile Cork sole. This sole is used also on all the Iron and Brogue Range shoes and we can proof that the sole can be in a n excellent condition even after a long time wearing.

Velmi nás těší i Váš zájem o elegantní (v rámci nabídky Red Wing Shoes) šestipalcové boty Beckman. Po barevných provedeních Cigar a Black Cherry přicházíme nyní s Beckmany v černé barvě. Použitá useň, Featherstone, je nejlepší materiál, který u Red Wing na boty  používají. Ručně vybraná useň se stále zpracovává v původní Feathestone Townhip Tannery. Boty jsou odolné proti odření a dají se rozleštit do opravdu vysokého lesku. To je ovšem věc osobního vkusu.

We appreciate very much also your interest for elegant 6" Beckman shoes. We have had them in Cigar and Black Cherry leather but now they are available also in Black. The lether which is used only for Beckmans, Featherstone is the best of the best materials Red Wing can offer to the customers. It is hand-selected from the finest hides which allows the master tanner to create a leather which is not only beutiful but also abrasion resistant. Featherstone leathers can be polished very well.

Novinkou jsou také rukavice Red Wing, zatím pouze v barvě Cognac. Rukavice jsou podšity materiálem Thinsulate, který zajišťuje výbornou tepelnou izolaci i v případě nízkých teplot. Navíc je celkem příjemný i na dotyk. Více o Thinsulate třeba zde.

The latest addition to our offer are the Buckskin gloves. They are lined with Thinsulate fabric which allows the great insulation all the time. It has a nice touch too. More on Thinsulate fabric for example here.
